Objectifs

The overarching objective of the formation continue is to provide EFL teachers with the conceptual and practical tools for implementing project-based teaching and learning:

1. Understand the principles of project and task-based teaching
2. Learn how to design engaging projects and tasks for effective learning (both short and long-term)
3. Explore ways to integrate projects into the classroom that dovetail with the curriculum

Contenu

The course will consist of concept driven hands on tasks and activities that build a repertoire of know how and understanding for the successful implementation of project based teaching and learning in the classroom.

1. Introduction (15 minutes)
- Overview of project and task-based teaching
- Benefits and challenges
2. Principles and Design (45 minutes)
- Core principles of project-based and task-based learning
- Hands-on activity : Designing a project/task
3. Integration with Curriculum (45 minutes)
- Aligning projects/tasks with curriculum objectives
- Strategies for interdisciplinary projects
4. Implementation (45 minutes)
- Tips for effective implementation in the classroom
- Case studies and success stories
5. Q&A and Discussion with takeaways (30 minutes)
